Improve Your Metadata

Your video description and tags are also part of your metadata and should be fixed accordingly. Try to avoid lengthy descriptions and seemingly endless tags. The description for each video should convey the relevant information while including some important keywords in a natural way. Base your tags on both your keyword research and ways people may search for your video. For example, in the previous sewing video, phrases like "how to sew," "beginner's sewing tutorial," and "sewing video" would all make sense for the tags.

Since YouTube is simply another search engine, the rewards go to channels that are more active, both in terms of posting new content and engagement. In the beginning, when you are just starting to use YouTube, it may be harder to post regularly. The easiest way to increase your activity is to have a schedule. When you have ideas for video content, write them down. Set aside time each week for filming, which may help you create more than one video in a session.
